This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded individual with drive, fresh ideas and a commitment to high quality work to help us change the face of humanitarian relief.
The mission of the Humanitarian Leadership Academy is to empower people around the world to prepare for and respond to crises in their own countries. The Academy will work with the humanitarian sector and new partners from the technology industry, private sector and universities to help communities become more resilient in the face of disaster and give them the training and skills to respond to crises in their own countries.
Sustainability is at our core; we’re not a short term solution and sustainable funding is key to this. This role will play a key role in the implementation of our funding strategy, identifying opportunities from traditional and, critically, new innovative income streams at the national, regional and local level. They will develop and maintain key partnerships to meet ambitious targets while focussing on our mission to raise funding sustainably over a far reaching, diverse and committed global donor base.
The role will support the development and implementation of a robust funding strategy in line with existing donor agreements. It will manage and progress key relationships and maintain oversight of high value, targeted  grants. The role will work on concept notes and strong programme proposals to secure income from high net worth individuals, corporates, charitable trusts and statutory funders. It will also undertake scoping activities to identify new, innovative untapped income streams for the Academy.
You will have experience producing fundraising proposals for donors, charitable trusts and foundations and/or corporates, displaying a skill to present the most complex data in a clear and simple with excellent attention to detail. You will have previous success and expertise in managing complex relationships with donors being an excellent communicator and constantly collaborative in your approach. You will be able to manage financial information and produce high quality communications to engage donors and deliver against income targets.
