National program to recruit students from traditionally underrepresented groups into public service seeks a National Director to lead the organization. This position will be based at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus. The School will become the host institution for the PPIA National Office on January 1, 2016.


The Public Policy and International Affairs Fellowship Program (PPIA) is a national nonprofit that prepares undergraduate students from underrepresented communities for an advanced degree in public policy and international affairs and ultimately for careers and influential roles serving the public good. The PPIA National Director manages the programs and activities of this major initiative to foster diversity and leadership in public service. Key tasks include representing the organization externally, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, the promotion of and application process for the PPIA Fellowship and educating and inspiring young adults from all backgrounds about public service.
