Grad & Undergrad Diplomacy Wonk Tank Competition

Diplomacy Lab 2016: Wonk Tank Competition & Project Fair

Powered by Diplomacy Lab, Wonk Tank is a new platform for graduate and undergraduate university students across the United States to showcase their ability to be America's next great "policy wonk."

Policy proposals must have a specific international problem or challenge requiring attention, a nuanced solution, and next steps to consider in order to implement the proposal. A 3-5 minute “TEDTalk style” video uploaded to YouTube must be linked in the proposal submission detailing the policy pitch and providing insight into how students might present their policy pitch in Washington, D.C. before Department of State officials at the final Wonk Tank round on Friday, March 11, 2016.

Innovative and outside-the-box thinking will be valued. Applicants studying outside the traditional disciplines (International Relations, Political Science) are equally encouraged to participate. Please email diplomacylab@state.gov if you have questions.

How can I propose my policy pitch?

Diplomacy Lab will be accepting student policy pitch proposals from December 15, 2015 to January 15, 2016. The proposal form can be found at the following link: http://goo.gl/forms/Kx1naVp68l
