Next Generation Delegates

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs is pleased to host a delegation of students from land-grant and research universities that plan to enter the agriculture, development, or food sectors. Students are senior undergraduates or post-graduate-levels.

June Nkwenge is a student at the Humphrey School pursuing a Masters in Development Practice with a minor in Human Rights. Her main interests are human rights, social justice and sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to enrolling as a student, she ran businesses in the oil and agricultural sectors in her home country, Uganda. She is an awardee of the prestigious Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Global Change (ICGC) Fellowship as well as the Mandela Washington Fellowship 2015-2016.She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Makerere University, Uganda.
