Invitation to Present: IPID Student Research Conference

You're Invited to Present!

IPID is pleased to invite student researchers (individuals or groups) to present in the annual IPID Student Research Conference on May 3, 2016Tuesdayfrom 4:00 to 5:30pm, Room 215 (Wilkins), Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

IPID organizes this annual conference as a venue for students to present findings, lessons learned, and insights from their capstone project, professional research papers or their pre-dissertation for peer feedback and learning.

If you are interested in presenting, please email (ipid@umn.edu) the following on or before April 28, 6pmThursday:
 
  1. Please send us a brief abstract of your research or project (250 to 300 words);
  2. Your name, mobile number, email address OR your team’s focal person
  3. For capstones: Team members names, project advisor and client-organization
  4. If absolutely necessary: Your preferred time slot – 4:00pm to 4:15pm4:15pm to 4:30pm4:30 to 4:45pm4:45pm to 5:00pm5:00pm to 5:15pm5:15pm to 5:30pm
  5. Your presentation in .ppt format (May 2, 10pm)

Guidelines:
 

  1. As a courtesy to your fellow students, we request that you or your capstone team be present for the entire duration of the conference.
  2. Presentation format: 10-12 minutes to present (suggested coverage: Brief overview of your research topic/scope/client organization/project; Research Methods/Activities; Key Findings; Implications on your research or development field)
  3. 3 minutes for Q and A

IPID will confirm your participation to the conference by April 29, 9amFriday.
