Aug 18 Global Ties Regional Summit

Peaceful Paths to Countering Extremism

Opportunities to engage with the world and strengthen communities are right here in Minnesota. Global Minnesota will host an important summit focused on peacebuilding approaches to battling extremism. Through a series of speakers and breakout sessions, the summit will validate and encourage community partnerships, energize efforts to effectively and positively engage young people, and help educate the broader community and dispel common fears and misconceptions. Check out the conference agenda and featured speakers, including Congressman Keith Ellison; Abdirizak Farah, Senior Policy Advisor with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties; and Dr. Hedieh Mirahmadi, President of the World Organization for Resource Development and Education.
