CAIR-MN is the leading civil rights and advocacy organization for Muslims in Minnesota. We have a unique opening for an intern to assist the Development & Outreach Coordinator with grant and fundraising research, assist with events and outreach activities and projects and to assist the Executive Director and Civil Rights Department with research regarding Islamophobia. We are a small, fast-paced, friendly office located in Northeast Minneapolis. (This internship could possibly be split into two positions, but we’d like to offer it to one intern if the right person applies for it and has the flexibility.) Lean more at www.cairmn.com

Duties:
- Research foundation grants, major donors and work with coordinator to develop fundraising ideas; participate in fundraising events;
- Research and document islamophobic incidents
- Assist with administrative duties specific to research projects
- Coordinate and work with Executive Director and Chapter - - - - -- Coordinator regarding Islamophobia trainings and community events.
- Use research to develop materials for community and organizations on how to address Islamophobia
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Undergraduate sophomore status (or greater) at an accredited university.
- Enthusiastic, optimistic, focused, and motivated.
- Detail-oriented, creative, a self-starter, and can work under minimum supervision.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
- horough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Stipend: $500 Stipend /10 hours for 10 weeks (flexible)
