Visiting Scholar Zhu researching commuting, travel & emotional well-being

Humphrey Visiting International Scholar Jing Zhu participated in the Annual Meetings of TRB and ACSP in 2016. She has investigated commuting happiness of workers in her hometown city Xi'an, China, together with Humphrey Prof. Yingling Fan. The findings of this research has just finished and the paper was submitted to the 2017 TRB for presentation and publication. She is now studying travel behavior and emotional well-being in U.S., also with Prof. Yingling Fan.  

Professor Zhu is a Lecturer of Urban Planning Department, College of Urban and Environmental Science, Northwest University, Xi’an, China. Professor Zhu received an MS from Northwest University, and Ph.D. in Engineering from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology. Her current research focuses on planning of commuting and public health and related transportation policy. She is an international visiting scholar at Humphrey School with faculty mentor Professor Yingling Fan.
