Please join Humphrey School Dean Eric Schwartz for a discussion with U.S. Department of State's Special Representative to Muslim Communities Shaarik Zafar. Special Representative Zafar will discuss his role in engaging Muslim communities globally, fostering relationships with minority communities, and the role religious communities play in welcoming and integrating refugees.

Shaarik Zafar was appointed as the Special Representative to Muslim Communities at the U.S. Department of State in July 2014. He is responsible for driving Secretary John Kerry's engagement with Muslim communities around the world on issues of mutual interest, in support of shared goals, and to advance U.S. foreign policy.
