openGlobalRights seeks essays on human rights responses to US election

The day after Trump’s victory, openGlobalRights asked leading human rights figures, “How should human rights activists respond?” On November 8, Stephen Hopgood wrote that rights activists should now retreat from "the international,” focusing instead on "the domestic"; today, Kathryn Sikkink disagrees, arguing that the international is more important than ever before.

Please distribute to your networks, and keep an eye on our page over the next weeks for commentary by other global human rights leaders. And if you are interested in joining the discussion with 800-1000 words of your own, please send me a paragraph outlining your thoughts.

We intend to translate as many of these articles as budget permits.
