Apr 3 Meet International Women of Courage Recipients

Meet International Women of Courage Recipients

Global Minnesota is proud to host two recipients of this year's U.S. Secretary of State's International Women of Courage Award.

A Roman Catholic nun working in Syria who runs a school for traumatized children and teaches vocational skills to vulnerable women.

A Deputy Director of a women's NGO in Iraq that helps survivors of gender-based violence, especially domestic violence, by offering shelter, training, protection, and legal services.

The annual U.S. Secretary of State's International Women of Courage Award honors women around the globe who have exemplified exceptional courage and leadership in advocating for human rights, women's equality, and social progress, often at great personal risk.

Join us for the opportunity to meet these extraordinary women and learn about the change they are implementing across the globe.

This event is produced in partnership with GHR Foundation and with support from GHR and the Katherine W. Merriam family.
