MS-STEP Ihde, Garnaas-Halvorson & Ambrose Acara Challenge winners

Please join me in congratulating our very own MS-STEP students Ben Ihde, Peder Garnaas-Halvorson, and Graham Ambrose who were award winners at this year's Acara Challenge.

Ben and Peder won Acara's highest award in the international division for their novel venture, Takadi, designed to create a subscription service for fuel delivery and waste collection in Uganda.

Graham won the silver award in the domestic division for his venture, The Local Beat, that provides a marketing ecosystem for small, local farmers.

Now, the Acara program will invite these teams to implement their venture ideas in the real world with $5,000 in fellowship funding.

You can read more about all of the teams in this year's Acara Challenge competition here.
