** Please note that the last two weeks are required for the ASTMH CTropMed Exam. If you are interested in either of the first two weeks, please contact us at globalhealth@umn.edu.

The University of Minnesota Global Health Course is accredited by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and will prepare clinicians to work in global health, including tropical medicine, travelers’ health, refugee and migrant health. Ours is the only ASTMH course offered in the Midwest USA, is one of 13 courses offered worldwide. It is open to local, national and international applicants. The course is offered in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as other local, national, and international partners

We will be doing something different this year. We will be offering continuing medical education (CME) credit only for the last two weeks of the course. As in past years, the first two weeks of the course will be more didactic lectures, with the last two weeks being more hands-on including labs, tabletop exercises, and clinical simulation. It is the last two weeks which are required for completion of our overall global health course which consists of both our online modules and the hands-on course.

If you will be registering for the last two weeks of the course, we have a limited number of spots to join us in the first two weeks of the course at no charge. Contact us at globalhealth@umn.edu if you are interested.
