Help out with History Day

History Day allows students in grades 6 - 12 to work on interdisciplinary research projects using primary and secondary sources. For a more complete overview, click HERE.

Library guides work during History Day school field trips to Wilson Library. They assist visiting middle and high school classes in finding books, accessing databases, finding and using primary sources, and anything else that will help the students with their research projects. We typically hire guides for two hour sessions that pay $30. Guides sign up to work for individual visits; it is not a regular commitment.

If you are interested please fill out the application below (or email Heather at histday@umn.edu with questions): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GradLibraryGuides

*For International students, this is now a possibility for you too, as the CPT offers International Students the possibility of working more than 50% time. Please check out the ISSS website at https://isss.umn.edu/fstudent/cpt.html. Please refer to Prof. Waltner's email or contact me and I will fill you in.

Your application on the survey will serve as your request to be added to the mailing list. If you prefer you can email Heather directly. Signing up for the email list does not obligate you to participate later on.
