HHH Levison, Bolgrien, & Assaad at 2017 International Population Conference


The International Union for the Scientific Study of Populations or IUSSP organizes the International Population Conference once every four years in a different country, in collaboration with a host country institution. This major international event draws some 2,000 population scholars, policy makers, and government officials from around the world to discuss the latest population research and debate pressing global and regional population issues.

IPC2017 in Cape Town

Cape Town, South Africa was selected as the host for the XXVIII International Population Conference, that took place the week of 29 October to 4 November 2017. Statistics South Africa was the primary organization hosting the Conference, with support from many other IUSSP members and their institutions in South Africa.
