"Developing an Indigenous Economy in Southern Belize"

As part of IPID’s Fall 2017 series on development in indigenous communities, Pablo Mis and Cristina Coc will share their experiences organizing the Maya people of southern Belize to secure rights to their ancestral lands and pursue indigenous-led economic development. Joining them is Joel Wainwright, who has worked in Belize since 1993. Co-sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Global Change (ICGC).
