Torske Klubben Fellowship for Minnesota Residents

Announcing the Torske Klubben Fellowship for Minnesota residents enrolled in the University of Minnesota Graduate School, with preference given to students pursuing a Ph.D. The Fellowship provides support for students with high academic achievement who show great promise of becoming leaders in their chosen profession. The Fellowship is supported by the Torske Klubben of Minneapolis, whose members, being of Norwegian ancestry, are interested in fostering relationships between Norway and America.

Please forward this announcement to eligible students. Applicants need not be of Norwegian heritage themselves, but they should explain their interest in or connection to Norway and its culture, expressing more than a superficial appreciation for Norwegian traditions.

NOTE: BASIC DEFINITION OF RESIDENT STATUS

Resident status is granted to students who: Are permanently residing in Minnesota; and Have been continuously present in the state of Minnesota for at least one calendar year prior to the first day of class attendance at the University. During that one year period, the student must not have attended any other Minnesota post-secondary educational institutions. For more information, visit:
