2018 Chicago Forum on Global Cities, Call for Forum Flashtalks (winners receive travel funds)

Registration for the 2018 Chicago Forum on Global Cities is now open. In its fourth year, the premier three-day international conference hosted by the Council and the Financial Times brings together decision makers and thought leaders from around the world to discuss how cities can solve pressing global challenges.

Open Call for Forum Flashtalks
Have an innovative solution for cities? Share it on our global stage. Prepare and submit a 5-7 minute “TED-style” flashtalk video addressing an issue affecting global cities to be considered for a chance to present at the 2018 Chicago Forum on Global Cities.

One winner will be selected to give their talk on the Solutions Stage at the 2018 Chicago Forum on Global Cities, June 6-8, 2018.

The Council will provide economy class airfare, hotel accommodation, and conference registration for the recipient of this opportunity.

Prepare and submit a 5-7 minute video of a “TED-style” flashtalk addressing a specific issue relevant to global cities. Topical areas of interest include but are not limited to:
Inclusive growth
Security / resilience
Data / IoT / smart cities / artificial intelligence / future of work
Immigration / integration
Climate change / energy / adaptation
Urban planning
