HHH students: Global Mentor Program Application Deadline Extended to 9/16

We have extended the application deadline for the Global Mentor Program to next Tuesday, September 16.

The global mentor program connects mentors doing international work with advanced (second year or more) Humphrey students who hope to develop international careers themselves. Global mentors can be working anywhere in the world. They will largely connect with their protégés via email, Skype and other distance technologies.

Second year (or second year+) students whose programs focus on international issues may apply for the Global Mentor Program (GMP) during the open enrollment period. Available spaces are limited. [Note: Students may participate in the DMP in their first year and the GMP subsequently if their academic focus is appropriate.]

Application material for the Global Mentor Program are available at http://www.hhh.umn.edu/alumni/mentor/Enrollment.html. Scroll down to the section of the page "For Students"

1. Review the SAMPLE MENTOR BIOGRAPHIES for GMP. Links to biographies (at the bottom of the enrollment page) are password protected (password: mentor).

2. Complete the GMP Student Enrollment Form, which includes a 500 word essay about your career interests & what benefits you hope to gain from the mentor program. Application deadline for the Global Mentor Program is extended to Tuesday, September 16, 2014.

If you have questions about the program or the application process, please contact Jane Vega at vegax004@umn.edu.

We hope you will join Humphrey students and alumni in exploring the many career paths in public service through our mentor program.
