ACSIS Student Outreach to create WMD Free Zone in the Middle East

The Arab Institute for Security Studies (ACSIS) sends you its best wishes.

ACSIS, based at the University of Jordan, Amman, recently launched a new initiative titled "A Zone in the Middle East". The primary goal of the project is to cultivate dialogue among youth and university students on the establishment of a Weapons of Mass Destruction Free Zone (WMDFZ) in
the Middle East. This discussion is a crucial step towards the establishment of a comprehensive security system in our troubled region.

The initiative will also raise awareness on the Middle East more generally through student outreach. We will be appointing "initiative liaison officers" in colleges, universities, and academic institutions worldwide. The liaison officers will be involved in official meetings and consultations with regional and international agencies.

We would appreciate your help in circulating this opportunity to students, clubs, and research groups affiliated with the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. We also welcome any remarks (and/or) questions from your institution on the endeavour. Further details
about the initiative are available upon request.

From Amman, the staff at ACSIS sends our regards!
