Job Description

About the role: The Huffington Post is looking for an editor to build our site’s Chinese audiences. This editor will curate content in Chinese, especially by translating English editorial content. He/she will play a key role in shaping HuffPost’s content strategy and brand for those audiences, as well as the site’s broader global expansion.


Requirements for Success:
* Native written Mandarin and fluent English
* Experience producing online published work in Mandarin
* Strong knowledge of Chinese social media and platforms
* Strong interest in Chinese news and culture
* At least 1 year of online journalism experience preferred
* Strong instinct and familiarity with mobile apps
* A voracious media diet, particularly with regard to lifestyle and entertainment content
* Passionate about using data to evaluate and improve performance
* Top-notch communication skills and ability to work across cultures
* Time spent living in China a plus

HuffPost is looking to enter the Chinese market, and as part of our initial strategy we need a bilnngual editor who can help us produce local language content for that audience and oversee the publication of it on local platforms.
