Did you know that Asian Minnesotans are the fastest growing population in the state and includes over 40 ethnic groups who come from all over the world?
Our community is diverse and complex, but there is not a nuanced understanding of our population. In fact, we are often aggregated as "Asian Americans" on a variety of equity efforts. So, how might we work together to build unity and cohesion so that our community is included?

It matters that you show up to make sure Minnesota will be vibrant for all communities.
In 2014, CAAL launched and engaged over 300 Asian Minnesotan leaders to inform and prioritize the common issues that you believe Asian Americans could work on together for the good of the whole community. You helped us prioritize the issues and selected education and economics.
Since then, a smaller Circle of Leaders have been coming together to learn more about the issues. Join us on Saturday, July 25th to hear what the working groups have learned, and what they recommend as long-term goals for education and economics. Together, we will discuss how to further engage communities towards creating a path forward on education and economics.

Coalition of Asian American Leaders

Formed in 2013, the Coalition of Asian American Leaders (CAAL) envisions a State where all Minnesotans, regardless of background, are actively engaged and can achieve prosperity. We are a coalition of Asian American leaders, made up of both emerging and experienced leaders from all sectors, harnessing our power to advance equity by connecting, learning, and acting together to improve lives. We believe that together we can learn, identify shared priorities, and create common agendas to achieve results for a more prosperous future for all people of the State.
