India & China Studies Intern

Duties of the intern will be as follows:
  • Promote India-China delegation and other organization-sponsored conferences
  • Contact sponsors, delegates, and others to attend events coordinated by the organization
  • Identify areas of policy which emphasize the work of the organization and the Prosperity Triangle between India, China, and the United States
  • Contribute to blog content relating to India and China
  • Assisting with any other administrative tasks as needed
  • Assignments may change on a day-to-day basis
    • College senior or graduate
    • Significant classroom or practical experience in international relations or related field
    • Knowledge of Asian current events, especially in the economic, political, and social environments of India and China
    • Understanding of how to make complex policy issues understandable for a wider audience
    • Language skills in Mandarin Chinese preferred
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
    • Strong computer and organizational skills
    • Strong research and writing skills
    • Excellent personal initiative and independence
    • Significant understanding of Microsoft Office applications, Google Docs applications, and standard social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, etc.
    • Graphic design and/or web design skills highly desirable
    • Comfortable assisting with and assuming responsibility for routine office tasks
    • Start date and end date flexible. Hours are approximately 20-40 per week
    • Foreign students must have permission to work in the United States
