Oct 2, Josef A. Mestenhauser Lecture Series on Internationalizing Higher Education

The Freedom to Be: International Education and Crossing Borders

This year's Mestenhauser lecture will feature Hanneke Teekens, a globally recognized scholar in international education from the Netherlands. International education is about crossing borders to find oneself and others. We do this by crossing physical borders, but often the most important borders are those in our heads. In her lecture, Hanneke will explore the relationship between international education and freedom and the connection with themes of identity and cultural awareness.
