Quaker Peace & Social Witness, Programme Manager - East Africa Peacebuilding (London)

Quaker Peace & Social Witness is seeking a dynamic, informed and experienced individual to take on the role of Interim Programme Manager, Peacebuilding in East Africa for 9 months from April 2015. The candidate will deliver the permanent Programme Manager’s work programme, whilst she is on sabbatical.

You will oversee active nonviolence projects in Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi, implemented in partnership with local peace organisations and through this work, you will support community change agents to challenge corruption and social injustices. You will need to be adaptable, creative, culturally sensitive, and able to work on your own initiative. You should have an understanding of locally driven peacebuilding and experience of conflict analysis, strategic planning and project management.

The post requires occasional travel to the region.

SALARY £38,002 per annum
