With the ratification of the Kyoto protocol and the adoption of the European Emission Trading Scheme, the EU showed a willingness to commit to environmentally friendly policies. Today, the success of these commitments is questionable. What do EU voters want, and why? In this talk, Professor Schneider will identify which individual characteristics form environmental policy attitudes and provide valuable insights into how to establish a more workable environmental policy.
