Additional Background on Micro-Grant:

LFSA was awarded a Micro-Grant through The Campus Climate Micro-Grant Selection Committee in order to bring together a large group of Latino community members, faculty & staff, and students to engage in a gathering that would reflect Latino/a cultural identity. The invitation is being extending to incoming students who have self identified as Latino/a. This social event will recognize and value Latino culture through sports, music, and food. It will also serve to connect Latinos from different spaces within the university into one common space, providing an opportunity to increase their sense of belonging within the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. For incoming students, this will be a great opportunity to start making connections and find mentorship.
