As societies around the world face the growing challenge of extremism, Minnesota has found itself at the center of this critical issue. What lessons can be drawn from our community's struggles to preserve both public safety and civil rights, address root causes of extremism without stigmatizing entire communities, and propose positive, community-based alternatives to the extremist message? This event will examine the roles education, communication, and action play in battling extremism.
