Ada
Gallegos is the current Executive Director of the Association of
Peruvian Universities. She is the former President of the Intersectoral
Committee of Women and Public Policy for Peruvian Universities and
Director of the University & Business Office of the National
Assembly of University Presidents (ANR) in Peru. She is also the Director
for Latin America of the University Network for the International
Network of Teacher Education Institutions Associated (IN) of UNESCO’s
Reorientation of scholar training for sustainability.
Ada Gallegos has a Ph.D. in Government and Public Policy along with a master’s degree in Public Administration with concentration in anticorruption. Besides, she has made one year specialization course in Public Affairs in the University of Minnesota and she followed a negotiation program from the Harvard Law School of Harvard University. Also, she is a researcher and university professor teaching future scholars.
In addition to her academic background and leadership, Ada Gallegos also is a public administrator and has held several directive positions nationwide. For her work, she has received an award in 2011 on the Good Practice in Public Administration and Excellence in Peru as facilitator of multiple alliances and initiatives of integrative leadership. She is also an extrajudicial mediator, with active credentials for the Ministry of Justice.
Dr. Gallegos was a visiting scholar at George Mason University, Virginia, US and other universities in Latin America. Also, she was faculty affiliate member of the Center for the Study of Women in Society – CSWS, University of Oregon and, during her 2012-13 Humphrey Fellowship year, affiliated with the Center for Gender, Women and Public Policy, Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota.
