US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment seeks a Manager of Education Programs. The primary responsibilities are to manage and grow the US SIF Foundation’s education initiatives that allow members and non-members to learn about sustainable and impact investing as well as allow more experienced practitioners to deepen their expertise. This position is responsible for extending and broadening educational initiatives by improving existing materials and adding new programs and products. This position will also lead the implementation of a new online learning platform.

The ideal candidate has significant experience in creating educational materials and programming, a background in sustainable and responsible investment and excellent management and technical skills. The candidate is detail oriented and has strong communication skills. The candidate must demonstrate experience with online education technology. The candidate is a self-starter with a commitment to teamwork and previous experience in managing and developing educational and/or certification programs. She or he will also be engaged in our annual national conference and other programs and events. The candidate should bring creative energy to US SIF, be self-motivated and a team player. This position reports to the Director of Policy and Programs. She or he will work with other staff as necessary. The position is full time and based in Washington, DC.

US SIF’s Manager of Education Programs is responsible for specific duties that include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develop and manage professional education content (70%)
Repurpose current content generated by US SIF and US SIF Foundation, including reports and theme guides, into more accessible and enhanced “educational” content, including webinars, videos, short courses, or white papers tailored for different audiences.

Lead work on other educational initiatives including webinars and conference sessions.

Manage, update, re-purpose and re-launch the online Fundamentals of Sustainable and Responsible Investment course and the delivery of the course via a platform that is more current, modern and user-friendly. Explore other online course platforms to determine various options. Manage the course on an on-going basis.

Manage in-person trainings of Fundamentals. This includes managing speakers, compiling resources and presentations, handling registrations, certifications, etc.

Create educational modules for particular stakeholder groups, such as institutional investors, high net worth individuals and family offices, foundations, and financial advisors and consultants.

Develop all professional education-related documents and manage the professional education webpage.

Oversee the provision of continuing education credits for all professional education programs, as well as for the US SIF annual conference.

Technical vendors and relationship management (25%)
Manage and supervise consultant, vendor and partner relationships related to the course and other education initiatives.

Establish and manage relationships with academic, corporate and investment industry experts to keep abreast of emerging and cutting-edge issues in professional education and sustainable investing.

Manage the Education Committee.

Development and Board (5%)
Assist with raising necessary sponsorships and funds for educational activities.

Prepare and contribute to the development of organizational budget for the online and live courses, and other education initiatives.

Prepare written communications to the US SIF Foundation Board on education activities.

The ideal candidate should have the following general traits and qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
Experience in sustainable, responsible and impact investing preferred.
Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to network effectively.

Well organized and self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to organize and track multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must be detail-oriented.

Strategic thinker.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adjust work schedules and priorities.
Sense of humor and a positive attitude.

Job Specific Qualifications:
At least three years of experience in developing educational content and distilling information into formats that are accessible and interesting.

Strong technical skills and prior knowledge of, and experience with, online learning platforms and other systems that allow sharing of educational content. This includes course authoring tools, learning management systems, etc.
