Welcome Christina Ewig to the Center on Women, Gender, and Public Policy
Christina Ewig began her new duties at the Humphrey School this week. She came here from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she taught for 11 years and served as associate chair of the Gender and Women’s Studies department. Ewig will serve as faculty leader of the CWGPP, joining Debra Fitzpatrick, who has served as director for the past several years.
Ewig’s research focus is the politics of gender and race on a global level, particularly in Latin America. She holds a master’s degree and PhD in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. She previously taught at Rutgers, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Christina Ewig was a guest on MPR News for a conversation about the glass ceiling in politics and beyond.
