Job Description
 The Senior Director of Development, Global Policy and Strategy (SDOD-GPS), reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor, University Development (AVC-UD), in coordination with the Dean, Global Policy and Strategy, and with the department chairs, faculty and staff members, plans and implements strategies for the identification, cultivation, successful solicitation, negotiation, and stewardship of major and principal gifts. The SDOD- GPS prepares written and oral presentations to potential donors and community groups and coordinates approaches as defined by campus policy and procedures; develops gift opportunities consistent with the priorities of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) and UC San Diego's mission; and the UC San Diego campaign.
