9th Annual Great Decisions Conference
International Migration and the Changing Face of America

In the largest movement of people in history, the number of international migrants has more than tripled from 78 million in 1960 to more than 232 million.

Our keynote speaker, National Public Radio correspondent and author Tom Gjelten, will discuss how immigrant stories and experiences from his new book, "A Nation of Nations: A Great American Immigration Story," are playing out across the world and right here in Minnesota.

Tom Hanson, Alworth Institute, University of Minnesota Duluth, will speak on International Migration: Trends, Causes & Consequences

Michele Garnett-McKenzie, Deputy Director and Director of Advocacy for The Advocates for Human Rights, will moderate a discussion on Young Immigrant Stories

Bill Blazar, Vice President of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, will moderate a discussion on the Economic Impact of Migrants

Erika Lee, Director, Immigrant History Research Center
