We know from the UMNTC 2015 Campus Climate Sexual Assault Survey that international students–female and male alike–are experiencing sexual assault (5-2%), relationship violence (9-8%), stalking (6-4%), and sexual harassment (32-22%), but that a limited number of international students are aware of the resources available to them on campus and the scope and impact of these issues on their lives and communities.
This upcoming academic year, The Aurora Center would like to create a curriculum of positive prevention to address sexual assault and relationship violence specifically designed for international students. The Aurora Center intends to host a series of focus groups with international students to receive feedback and answer any questions.
