Visiting Scholar from China Lin Dishan researching Sustainable Travel at HHH

Lin Dishan is research fellow in education, human capital resource and poverty in China at the department of public finance, school of economics in Xiamen University. He has bachelor degree in development of economics from the same university and starting his M.Econ and PhD.

Lin Dishan is interested in understanding the role of public spending in education plays in the reduction of poverty through human capital resource in China. Specifically, his PhD project focuses on public educational expenditure, human capital and poverty reduction in China and he plans to hand in his dissertation by December 2017.

Lin Dishan is working at the Humphrey School as a visiting scholar from October 2016 to September 2017 and his faculty mentor is Professor Jerry Zhao.
