The 2017 Acara Challenge!!!

The 2017 Acara Challenge is approaching. It's an opportunity specifically designed for UMN students who seek to make positive change to environmental and social challenges internationally and locally. We help connect them with funding and resources to design, pilot, and launch. All it takes to join is an idea for making a positive impact. We'll have an information session for UMN students Tuesday Nov 15, 11.30am in ME 1130 (lunch provided). Details below.

Do you have an idea to change the world? Win $$$! The Acara Challenge is an annual spring semester impact venture competition to reward UMN students creating solutions to social and environmental challenges.
What: Teams compete for real funding to address global grand challenges.
Who: All current degree-seeking UMN students who are up for the challenge. Must have an idea for a social business venture to apply. May take Social Venture Launchpad 2-credit course in January 2017 at UMN to prepare for the competition.
Apply: See competition webpage. Initial application due 1/31/16. The competition will occur February 28 - March 1, 2017.
