The goals of these seed grants are to seed new research studies by UMN faculty from the health sciences, likely to attract future federal and national funding, and support partnerships between UMN faculty and Guangxi CDC researchers.
Eligibility
Grants are available to teams of two co-Principal Investigators (co-PIs): one Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the UMN AHC, and one researcher at Guangxi CDC or partner institution.
Required elements of the proposal:
* Research activities that take place in Guangxi, China
* New research activities should be in one of the following areas:
+ HIV/AIDS
+ Climate Change and Health
* Research activities must be completed within one year (including a manuscript submitted) from the start date of the grant
Application Process
Interested UMN faculty are encouraged to visit Nanning by the end of 2017. There is limited funding available to support travel between Minneapolis and Nanning.
* Proposal Due January 26, 2018
* Proposals will be selected through a competitive peer review process from both institutions
* Applicants will be notified of their funding status by February 28, 2018
* Funding will be available March 2018
