Elmohanad Elsayad, a second year MDP student from Egypt delivers a keynote presentation at the first African Youth Conference on Sustainable Development in Accra Ghana on the 2nd of November. Elmo represented his country Egypt and the University of Minnesota at the African summit. He spoke about how we can stop the lure of youth into terrorism in Africa. He explained the causes that lead to terrorism and provided recommendations for policymakers to stop the further spread of extremism through educational, economic and communication strategies. Elmo called on his fellow young leaders at the summit to take actions and be the drivers of sustainable development.
