MDP alumni Britta Hansen is a current Collaborative Research Specialist at the
Stakman-Borlaug Center for Sustainable Plant Health of the University of Minnesota. The SBC unites plant health experts from the University of Minnesota, other institutions, agri-industries and stakeholder groups to find durable, environmentally-friendly solutions to plant health challenges. Their work is based on the interdisciplinary, problem-solving vision of University of Minnesota scientists E.C. Stakman and Norman E. Borlaug.
They were recently awarded $721,000 from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service to fund a two-year project to conduct the Food for Progress Post-Project Sustainability Assessment. The SBC will lead this project while working very closely with its contracted partner -
The Improve Group, a woman-owned, full-service evaluation, research, and strategic planning consulting firm based in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Congratulations to Britta and the SBC team!
