Join Barbara Frey and the U of M Human Rights Program in welcoming Regents Professor Emerita Kathryn Sikkink to campus to speak on the legitimacy and effectiveness of the human rights movement. Marking the release of her newest book, Sikkink draws on decades of research and fieldwork to make the case that human rights efforts do in fact work--that while change comes slowly and often with great struggle, human rights movements have been vastly effective.
7-9:30 p.m., McNamara Alumni Center.
