First Year Students: Registering for Global Policy Capstones for 2018-2019

As the time for registration for Fall 2018 approaches, I would like to bring to your attention the process for considering a Global Policy/Development Practice capstone, which starts with a one credit unscheduled workshop in the Fall. All students (and not just Global Public Policy concentration or MDP students) are welcome to participate in the Global Policy/Development Practice Capstones. But you must sign up for the PA 5080/Section 2 workshop if you want to participate.
  • Any student interested in a Spring 2018 Global Policy or Development Practice Capstone must register for the Fall 2017 must register for PA 5080, Section 2, Capstone Preparatory workshop. (NOTE: If you are an MDP student you will register for an MDP workshop as directed.)
  • This is a one-credit preparatory workshop with dates/times to be announced in which students will select projects, be assigned to teams, and begin to prepare for the Spring term work.
  • We do not yet have a list of Capstones for next year, and we are willing to discuss ideas for Capstones that emerge from your summer internships.
  • Some Global/Development Capstones entail travel, but no student will be assigned to a Capstone involving travel unless they expressly want to do that. There are limited funds available to support travel.
