Handa Haruhisa Fellowship @ Pacific Forum (Honolulu, Hawai'i)

Worldwide Support for Development - Handa Haruhisa Fellowship (Resident/Nonresident)

The WSD-Handa Fellowship program offers both resident and nonresident fellowships to increase participation in Pacific Forum programs and Young Leaders activities. Those interested in this fellowship should have an interest in pursuing policy-relevant research in East Asian security and economic developments. The fellowship provides the opportunity to take a more in-depth look into these issues and gain experience in crafting practical, well-developed ideas to improve regional security and stability. In choosing fellows, we will give special consideration to those from Southeast Asian countries and to those in Europe who focus on East Asian security issues. The resident fellowship program is now open for applications. Resident fellows will work in the Pacific Forum office in Honolulu, Hawaii for a period of three to six months with the possibility of an extension for up to one year. The program will cover travel expenses and provide a modest stipend to help defray the cost of living in Honolulu. Nonresident fellowships are available on an ongoing basis.
