Kelly Korean Studies Fellowship

James A. Kelly Korean Studies Fellowship (Resident/Nonresident)

The James A. Kelly Korean Studies Fellowship program aims to build upon the Pacific Forum’s existing Korea-oriented programs. Kelly Fellows focus on issues related to the Korean Peninsula through participation in the Pacific Forum’s Young Leaders program, in-residence research at the Pacific Forum office in Honolulu, and the continuing series of US-ROK and broader tri-/multilateral forums. We are now looking for resident fellows for a term of three to 12 months. The program will cover travel expenses and provide a modest stipend to help defray the cost of living in Honolulu. We are always on the lookout for suitable nonresident fellows, who receive priority consideration for Korea-oriented Young Leaders activities.

For details and instructions on how to apply, go to https://www.pacforum.org/programs/pacific-forum/programs/fellowships/james-kelly-korea-fellowship.

Candidates should meet the following criteria:
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • Have a background and interest in Korea security issues
The deadline date to apply is November 16, 2018, for a start date in January/February 2019.
