MPP Wilber on holding Myanmar accountable

This August marked one year since the most recent ethnic cleansing, and possibly genocide, began against the Rohingya minority from Myanmar. Humphrey Human Rights Student Julia Wilber (MPP/MSW '20) had the opportunity to contribute to Refugees International's advocacy efforts in support of the Rohingya this summer. It is critically important that the international community hold Myanmar accountable for their crimes and provide justice for the Rohingya.

Updates: The International Criminal Court has ruled that it has jurisdiction over the crime against humanity of deportation; Canada has ruled Myanmar's actions a genocide; and the U.S. State Department has released its report on the atrocities, stopping short of calling Myanmar's actions a genocide.
