UMN CREATE Scholars applications due Oct 22

Please help me spread the word about a new graduate student opportunity we are calling "CREATE Scholars", affiliated with the Grand Challenges Research project CREATE (Co-developing Research and Engaged Approaches to Transform Environments). The Scholars program is open to any current graduate student at the University of Minnesota with interests in the environment and social justice.

CREATE Scholars will join a cohort of 8-10 other graduate students for a year-long program, consisting of a one-credit practicum course (Spring 2019), eight week funded externship (Summer 2019), and professional development activities (continuing through Fall 2019). Scholars will gain skills in cultural competency, project management, program evaluation, science communication, and interdisciplinary research methods.

Our first cohort of CREATE Scholars will be selected this Fall via a competitive application process. We need your help getting the word out to interested graduate students.

We aim to recruit graduate students from programs across the University - students from any college or degree program are eligible to apply.

For more information, and to apply visit create.umn.edu. Applications are due Monday, October 22nd, 2018.
