2015 Mandela Washington Fellows arrive at UMN

Please join the Center for Integrative Leadership in welcoming the 2015 Mandela Washington Fellows!

The Center for Integrative Leadership and the Humphrey School of Public Affairs are excited to welcome our second cohort of Mandela Washington Fellows June 19–July 31, 2015.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is the flagship program of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). Through this initiative, Africa’s brightest young leaders in the business, civic, and public sectors spend six weeks in residence at U.S. colleges and universities to connect with Americans and deepen their knowledge of business and entrepreneurship, civic leadership, and public management. For the second year in a row, the University of Minnesota was chosen as one of 20 institutions to host a public sector track for a cohort of fellows who are early to mid-career professionals between the ages of 25–35 who have a proven track record of leadership in their communities and organizations.
