HHH alum Bai featured as UMN Global Scholar

Mandy BaiAs the Assistant Director at the U of MN China Center, Mandy Bai drives the China Center’s scholarship programs, community outreach and corporate engagement on a daily basis. In order to better support all colleges and satellite campuses, she led a team to create the China Center e-newsletter that keeps faculty and administrators as well as community stakeholders aware of the China-related news on campus. She also leads the customized Chinese culture workshop program and presents to study abroad classes on campus and to the Minnesota business community. In 2013 she served on the planning committee for President Kaler’s Greater China trip. In 2014, as the University of Minnesota celebrates its 100th year of history with China, Ms. Bai is working closely with her team to curate the UMN-China 100th anniversary history exhibit, to interview representatives of excellent Chinese alumni, and to plan various domestic and international events which highlight the U’s glorious history with China and enhance the U’s reputation in China. 

As an active Minnesota Chinese community member, Ms. Bai serves on the board of U.S. – China Business Connections (UCBC).

Before joining the China Center in 2012, she also worked at the Carlson Global Institute on education abroad programs across Asia, South America, and Europe from 2010-2012, and as a Training Program Manager at the China Center from 2007-2010.

Ms. Bai received her B.A. in English and International Studies from China Foreign Affairs University, M.A. in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs in 2007, and M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management in 2010.
