Apply Ap 4 for Global Health Summer Education Opportunities

An Info Session sponsored by the Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility will be held on March 22, and applications are due April 4, 2016.

  • Ecuador: Social and Cultural Determinants of Health - July 11 to 22, 2016 -  This 2-week course will provide a global health team-based learning experience in Ecuador.  Participants will learn about the public health and health care infrastructure in Ecuador, including western and indigenous health practices.
  • Ecuador: Global Health Placement - 2 & 4 week options following the course above - This program will provide a global health field placement in Ecuador. Participants will be placed in internships with community organizations that match participants' and organizations' interests, priorities, and goals.
  • India: Applied Research in Urban and Rural Health - July 8 to Aug 6, 2016 -  This four-week program in Bangalore will introduce students to the social determinants of health that drive individuals' health and health care system responses in India. Students will participate in small group learning, a shadowed research experience with close mentorship, and experience exposure to health systems in rural and urban settings.
