CRA seeks program evaluator

The Center for Restorative Approaches (CRA) seeks a master’s or doctoral level candidate who is interested in applying their program monitoring and evaluation skills including refining and developing systems for generating, tracking and analyzing data for a local violence prevention program. This ideally will align with the public school year but scheduling can be determined depending on candidate’s academic calendar. We would be interested in being the subject of a thesis or doctoral evaluation project.

CRA works to replace cultures of violence and punitive disciplinary practices with cultures focused on violence prevention and restorative approaches throughout New Orleans. CRA transforms school, organization and the community cultures by training individuals in restorative approaches, which seeks to identify conflict, repair harm and restore individual and community relationships. The organization has facilitated over 400 restorative circles with youth and families across the city as an alternative to suspension or expulsion since its establishment in 2008. We do work in dozens of schools in Orleans and Jefferson Parish at varying levels of intervention.

Program Evaluator would:
Develop Program Evaluation Plan
Refine Systems for Generating and Collecting Data
Analyzing Data and Establishing Systems
