Position Description:
The Social Innovation Programming Director is responsible for delivering on the promise of Impact Hub DC as a “school for social entrepreneurs.”  S/he will be responsible for all aspects of Hub programming, including content development, partnership building, implementation, marketing, budget management and evaluation of all programs in our space. S/he works closely with the Impact Hub DC Managing Director, team, members and non-members, and external partners and sponsors to establish Impact Hub DC as a thought-leader and needle-mover in the areas of social entrepreneurship, impact investing, civic innovation and driving change at the intersection of money and meaning. In this way, s/he plays a key role in building the unique brand of Impact Hub DC, generating revenue and driving the overall business.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
●      Negotiate partnerships with mission-aligned organizations to deliver world-class content and educational experiences for Impact Hub members
●      Organize events such as speakers series, unconferences, hackathons, and design sprints that establish Impact Hub DC as a center of excellence in the area of inclusive entrepreneurship and build strong relationships among our members
●      Drive substantive linkages between the annual SOCAP conference and Impact Hub DC
●      Collaborate with Impact Hubs worldwide to create meaningful connections among social entrepreneurs
●      Provide marketing support across all aspects of the business includes membership sales, member experience, and events and programs in close collaboration with the Managing Director, Events Manager and Member Success Manager, including by producing a bi-weekly newsletter and developing and implementing our social media strategy

The ideal candidate will exhibit the following qualities:
●      Entrepreneurial drive and hands-on approach to problem solving; comfortable working in a fast-paced startup
●      Excellent organizational and time management skills
●      Ability to prioritize according to strategic business objectives and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; self-starter that knows how to manage up
●      Excellent written, oral, copy editing and presentation skills; professional demeanor and poise
●      Outstanding people skills with a collaborative teamwork style
●      Marketing savvy, including across all social media platforms, and an eye for design
●      Values diversity, tolerance and justice, active citizenship, and personal courage
Desired experience and skills:
●      Minimum 3 years experience in a programming, educational, or partnership building role
●      Familiarity with the DC entrepreneurship scene, passion for civic innovation, social justice, diversity in tech, building a more peaceful and tolerant society
●      Experience with Salesforce, WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Mailchimp, Photoshop, and other apps and programs that support email and social media marketing
●      Experience creating and managing a budget
●      Experience working in a startup environment where not all the rules are written
Our space is open for co-working from 9am to 6pm Monday - Friday and transitions to an event space for community and public events in the evenings and weekends. This position requires flexible and evening work hours.
